We serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Monday to Friday and a Brunch Menu on the Weekends. Tables are available on a first come first serve basis only, and we do not take reservations at this time.

With the cuisine under the direction of Chef James Metcalfe, with Hatted & Michelin-star credentials, breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes are nothing short of memorable. James has brought in Head Chef Keno Perlas with his eclectic style and hatted experience to execute the SG’s menu.

Dusk shifts the focus from the coffee machine to the cocktail shaker, with boozy concoctions featuring house-made infusions and reductions. From the authentic hand-crafted cocktail menu to a comprehensive wine list that satisfies the most discerning palette, Saint George is wrapped up in a warm and stylish setting. 

Where quality meets light-heartedness, this centrally located eatery has affectionately become the Saint of George Street.

OUR FOOD & PHILOSOPHY

We had a desire to provide Sydney with an affordable yet unforgettable dining experience. “Coffee and booze for the working class” pays homage to the workers of Sydney’s CBD, who seek coffee throughout their working day and booze in the evening, alongside produce driven, locally sourced dishes with a high-end finesse.

James Metcalfe

Chef & Owner

Our Chef & Owner, James Metcalfe has worked in double hatted and Michelin star restaurants in both London and Sydney.

He has over 30 years of experience working in kitchens all over the world. James has a genuine passion for flavour that comes through in a clean, seasonal and produce driven way.

James and the SG team have the vision to create a neighbourhood gem that locals and tourists will remember for its food, booze and coffee made with love.

Ben Pearce

General Manager

Ben's knowledge of Hospitality Management is second to none. He was involved in developing some of Sydney's most iconic venues through his experience with SG’s parenting business JRM Hospitality.

His passion for wine, cocktails and service is at the essence of Saint George. Ben’s attention to detail and understanding the customer's experience allows us to give our staff the very best training and support to offer our customers a memorable experience.

Keno Perlas

Head Chef

From humble beginnings as a kitchen hand and ten years experience in the kitchen, Keno’s eclectic style has derived from working with a variety of cuisines and styles.

Trained under many hatted chefs with plenty of accolades in venues such as Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley and Gowings Bar at the QT Hotel. Keno brings a wealth of knowledge, tenacity and skill from fine dining eateries from all over Australia.

Keno believes in curiosity when cooking and using the most seasonal produce he can get his hands to create a dish with maximum flavour.
